From our door
The car can stay at the house all week
The house stands on Triglavska cesta in the centre of Bistrica. The bus stop and the bakery are 50 metres away, and the shops, restaurants, health centre and pharmacy a few minutes on foot.
The valley bus is free, summer and winter: to the lake, Vogel, Soriška planina and Pokljuka. The cycle path to the lake starts close to the house.

In summer we teach climbing, in winter skiing
We, Alenka and Andrej Pikon, run the house. Andrej founded the Alpe company in 1990: in summer we run the Pod skalco climbing school by the lake, in winter a ski and snowboard school.
You can hire climbing or ski gear at the house and keep your skis in the ski room. We help you plan trips around the valley and show you a few lesser-known places.

“Fantastic apartment, very spacious and clean. Had everything you needed for a self catering stay. Great host, very helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent location. Several restaurants in town, opposite great ice cream shop and bakery. 2 minute walk to river. Great location to use as a base for the local area, 20 minutes to Lake Bled, 20 minutes to Vogel ski lift.”

Before you decide
What you should know about our house
- The house is on the main road. Nights are quiet, but in the morning you hear the traffic with the windows open. Light sleepers should bring earplugs.
- Only the attic has air conditioning. The ground-floor apartment has none, so in summer you open the windows onto the road.
- The attic has no balcony. It is up the stairs and there is no lift. The terrace and garden belong to the ground-floor apartment.
- There is no dishwasher. The kitchens have a hob, an oven, a fridge and a coffee machine, and both apartments have a washing machine.
- Check-out by 10:00. Check-in runs from 14:00 to 23:30; let us know your arrival time in advance.
